Roger E. Nellans, M.D.

Dr Roger Nellans grew up on a farm in northern Indiana.  He graduated from Indiana University Medical School in 1968 and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society due to his finishing as one of the top in his class.  He completed his internship at Harbor General Hospital, then after serving as a flight surgeon in the US Navy, he completed his urology residency at the University of California, Irvine.  Dr Nellans is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He belongs to numerous medical societies and has published several articles as outlined in his CV.  He has demonstrated leadership in his field by serving on numerous regional and national committees and serving as an officer in many organizations.  He has served as Chief of Surgery at Overlake Hospital Medical Center and is past President of the Washington State Urology Society and past President of the Northwest Urological Society.

Dr Nellans has gained considerable experience and expertise in his 28 years of practice with Bellevue Urology Associates.  His areas of primary interest include the treatment of prostate cancer, female urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction.  He has extensive experience in vasectomy, having performed over 5000 procedures.

 Outside of urology, Dr Nellans major love is the game of golf.  He served as President of Overlake Golf and Country Club in 2002. Dr. Nellans has two children, Kim and Jeff, and his wife Diane is a surgical nurse at Overlake Hospital Medical Center.
